I'm Diana Hutter, a visual communication designer, a strategic designer and experienced in UI/UX design through my practical semester at BOSCH and my university experience.
My design expertise in both online and offline media design comes from a 3 1/2 year bachelor's degree in communication design at the 'Hochschule für Gestaltung'. My core expertise in strategic design
I gained in the master's program in strategic design, also at the HfG.
Overall, my expertise lies in the development of communication strategies. I also have extensive experience in desk and field research. I have conducted these using empirical social research methods and workshops with the direct involvement of the user group.
The spectrum of my work as a designer covers my skills in brand building, UI/UX design of application and desktop applications, as well as graphic and service design.
The core essence of branding revolves around creating a strong and memorable identity for a product, service or organization. In various projects, I have followed the principle of tapping into the emotions, aspirations and desires, needs, preferences and behaviors of the audience.
A brand should create a meaningful and differentiated presence that goes beyond the physical attributes of the offering. I know that emotional connections lead to brand loyalty and advocacy.
Brand identity should be more visible in the context of a specific product.
In my editorial work, I combine design principles with storytelling to convey information effectively and leave a lasting impression. By working with visual hierarchy, layout composition and a high level of color in magazines, flyers and newspapers, I create an engaging, readable and visually appealing experience for readers.
From low-fidelity wireframes or interactive prototypes I visualize the layout and flow of the interface. Using various visual and interactive elements I focus on optimizing the visual and interactive elements, to ensure a seamless and user-friendly experience across different screen sizes and platforms.
With my Service Design experience, I try to really understand user's needs through methods like the service blueprint, customer journey maps, or the focus group. The task of every service designer should be to encompass all touchpoints, interactions, and moments of engagement that a user will have and to recognize the emotional aspects.
